Hi Bovine Ska and Rocksteady Listeners!

We start off this week’s show by sharing with you the sad news that we only heard right before recording this show that Alex Dimples Hinds of the foundation UK band, The Marvels has passed away. We dedicate this show to Dimples and send our respects to his family. In tribute, we started off the show with The Marvels 1963 lovely ska cut for Blue Beat, “Together.” We then followed with two ska sets, our mento set, and a long set of reggae pulled by Lily that might be her best reggae set of the year. Our label spotlight is on Winston Riley’s WIND LABEL and there are just too many wonderfully produced cuts to share from: Hortense Ellis, Johnny Osbourne, The Ethiopians,The Sensations and so many more!
