Hello Bovine Ska and Rocksteady Listeners!
Hoping that you are all staying warm this last week of February! We started off this Bovine Ska with two sets of mid-tempo ska featuring cuts from The Gaylads. Ken Boothe and Hopeton Lewis. You then got a very intense set of mento beginning with a track from Count Sticky that we recently acquired, and then we ended the hour with a long set of pretty rocksteadys before going into the spotlight of producer/musician Mikey Chung’s SUPERSTAR LABEL. A short run press that is version thick which contains great performances from Mikey’s legendary band, The Now Generation. Please add this show to your playlist, favorite it, or share it wherever people love the sounds of a young Jamaica. Happy 2019! XO Generoso and Lily

Hello Bovine Ska and Rocksteady Listeners!
Shortly before last week’s Bovine Ska, we passed along the very sad news that vocalist, Noel ‘Bunny’ Brown of The Chosen Few and The Mighty Threes had died at the age of 67 after his battle with cancer. This week we honored Bunny’s life by focusing the second half of our show on his life and career. Generoso was fortunate to have met Bunny when seeing The Chosen Few over the years and like most who met Bunny, found him to be a genial man and an amazing talent. We send our deepest respects to Bunny’s family, friends, and colleagues. Love, Generoso and Lily
