Hello Bovine Ska and Rocksteady Friends,

This month of June marks the 25th Anniversary of the airing of the first episode of the Bovine Ska and Rocksteady on WMBR, 88.1 FM in Cambridge! In celebration of this event, we have spent the last month listening to and ranking our favorite Jamaican tracks of all time from 1959-1976.  We have separated these songs by time period and this week, you will hear our favorite ballads, boogies, and skas from 1959-1962.  There are many rarities on our show this week from this early era of Jamaican music, but there’ll also be a few cuts that you know and hopefully love as much as we do.
