Bovine Ska and Rocksteady Listeners, welcome to your show!
We had a blast this past weekend finding all the cuts needed for this week’s Bovine Ska and Rocksteady. We started off with two sets of blazing rare ska, including Joe White and Chuck’s 1964 cut for Treasure Isle, “Punch You Down,” and from SEP, Lord Tanamo’s, “The Beginning.” Our mento set was strung together with songs about cricket (or using cricket for a nasty metaphor). Our spotlight is on Clancy Collins’ (Sir Collins if you’re feeling formal) rocksteady-filled COLLINS DOWN BEAT LABEL (1967-68) that features top tunes from Owen Gray and The Uniques. PLEASE ADD OUR SHOW TO YOUR PLAYLIST here on MIxcloud and share it everywhere you see fit. See you next Tuesday XOXO Generoso and Lily
