Generoso and Lily’s Bovine Ska and Rocksteady: The Rocksteady of the Double D Label 4-11-17

Hello Bovine Ska and Rocksteady Listeners!

We started this week’s Bovine Ska with two sets of fantastic early reggae cuts beginning with a version to version of Delroy Wilson’s “I Wish It Were Me” from 1974. A mento set soon followed, and then a long set of rare rocksteady before we delved into more rocksteady on our spotlight of the UK DOUBLE D LABEL. This label spotlight featured so many killer cuts from 1967-68 Bobby Aitken, Marlene McKenzie, and Ken Parker. PLEASE ADD OUR SHOW TO YOUR PLAYLIST here on MIxcloud and share it everywhere you see fit. See you next Tuesday XOXO Generoso and Lily
