Howdy Bovine Ska and Rocksteady Listeners!

THE MAY 9TH SHOW IS UP! Yes indeed, it is another Rupie Edwards produced label! You may be wondering as to why Generoso and Lily’s Bovine Ska and Rocksteady Radio Show is spotlighting another Edwards label, and the simple answer is that there are just some producers who put out endless magnificent tunes and Rupie is one of them. The Peaceful Road label features top reggae cuts from 1971-1976 from Dobby Dobson, U-Roy Junior, Shorty The President, and many more. We start off the show with two sets of rare ska including Roy Shirley and Ken Boothe’s 1966 scorcher from Gayfeet, “Lollipop Tonight.” You then get a blast of mento before a long set of Jamaican soul and rocksteady before the Peaceful Road Label spotlight.
