Hello Bovine Ska and Rocksteady Listeners!

We start of this week’s Bovine Ska and Rocksteady with two action-packed sets of version-to-version filled reggae cuts beginning with Stranger and Gladdy’s killer 1971 cut for Stranger’s own, Soul Cole label entitled, “My Application.” Over the weekend, we looked through the old setlists and realized that we never did a spotlight on the STAR LABEL! Not many tunes on this imprint, but the ones that were on it are quite great. Sensational skas and rocksteadys from 1966-68 from the likes of Roy Shirley, The Three Tops, and Jimmy Sinclair.
