Hello Bovine Ska and Rocksteady Listeners!

We started off this week’s Bovine Ska with two of thrilling ska, which was then followed by our weekly mento set and a long set of reggae before we went into our spotlight of Keith Hudson’s Rebind Label. In the late 60’s/early 1970s, few producers were as on as the late Keith Hudson. The crafty production ideas that Hudson pulled out of his sleeves, coupled with the rhythms that were created in his studio by Soul Syndicate made for some immortal tracks. A couple of years ago we did a spotlight of Hudson’s Imbidimts label, and this week on the Bovine Ska we focused on Hudson’s equally impressive REBIND LABEL which featured amazing cuts from 1969-1974 from Dennis Alcapone, Delroy Wilson, U-Roy, all backed up by Soul Syndicate!
