Happy New Year Bovine Ska and Rocksteady Listeners!
We wish you the greatest joy and peace for your 2019! We started off this first show of the year with two sets of ska beginning with a rare cut from Stranger Cole that was produced by Prince Buster in 1965 entitled, “Yesterday’s Dreams,” which we felt made sense given the new year. After a mento set and a long set of fantastic reggae picked out by Lily, we did our spotlight on Clive Chin’s ONE WAY SOUNDS LABEL, which features amazing cuts from Lloyd Parks, Vin Gordon, Black Uhuru, and more! Please add this show to your playlist, favorite it, or share it wherever people love the sounds of a young Jamaica. Happy 2019! XO Generoso and Lily
