Generoso and Lily’s Bovine Ska and Rocksteady: Rupie Edwards’ Circle Label 1-8-19

Howdy Bovine Ska and Rocksteady Listeners!
For this week’s Bovine Ska, we started off with two prime sets of rare ska, including a never before played on the show cut from Derrick and Patsy, that was produced by Prince Buster in 1965 called, “Trouble.” Our mento set was mellow this week, and for the end of the first hour we included a heavenly birthday tribute to both Elvis Presley and David Bowie, both born on January 8th. Our spotlight this week is another stellar Rupie Edwards label, CIRCLE, that of course is filled with amazing versions from The Heptones, The Ethiopians, Johnny Clarke, and Jah Woosh! If you listen and liked it, please add this show to your playlist, favorite it, or share it wherever people love the sounds of a young Jamaica. XOXO Generoso and Lily
