It’s been a hot week here in Los Angeles so we must start off our show this week with two sets of rare ska to make you sweat like us (it’s only fair) beginning with “Love Lane,” a superb 1964 cut by The Maytals for Studio One! After our bouncy weekly mento set, we put together a long set of pretty rocksteady to end the first hour. We then turn our spotlight on the rare Joe Gibbs label, SHOCK. On this short run label, you will hear great rocksteady and reggae from 1968-75 by Peter Tosh , Tommy McCook, and The Overtakers!
