Hello Bovine Ska and Rocksteady listeners!

Perhaps it is the sultry August weather here in Los Angeles, but recently we have increased our normal intake of the late maestro, Barry White. Heaven only knows how many times Barry has supplied us with more than his fair share of accompaniment during the last twenty one years of the Bovine Ska and Rocksteady and this week, his compositions move to the forefront by way of some spectacularly cool Jamaican covers from 1974-1976 by artists such as Lloyd Charmers and Jackie Mittoo taking a turn with “I’m Gonna Love You Just A Little More” and Tommy McCook with White’s “Love Theme” and so many more.
