Happy Jamaica Independence Day 2018 Bovine Ska and Rocksteady Listeners!

August 6th, 2018 will be Jamaica’s 56th Independence Day and for the 22nd straight year we will celebrate Jamaica with a special programme. For this year’s celebration we will only play cuts from 1961-1979 about Jamaica’s capital city, Kingston, and we included Jamaican R&B, ska, and rocksteadys about the city’s famed streets like: King, Beeston, and of course, Orange Street, the music street! We also played many reggae cuts about Kingston’s neighborhoods as well as providing the history about the music that took place there.
